HerbDeliveries public discovery API and verification policy
Read-only business discovery with canonical citations, limited public fields, bounded pagination and explicit unknown verification dates.
Read-only endpoint
GET /api/discovery returns JSON with listings and nextOffset. Example: /api/discovery?city=Los%20Angeles&state=California&country=US&limit=3&offset=0. No account is required. This endpoint does not place orders, reserve products or take payments.
Filters, pagination and limits
city and state are exact case-insensitive names (use California, not CA); country is a two-letter code, default US. limit defaults to 20, minimum 1, maximum 50. offset defaults to 0, maximum 10000. Follow nextOffset until null. Results are ordered by record ID, not quality, distance or sponsorship. Requests are limited to 30 per minute per IP; a 429 response includes Retry-After. Invalid parameters return 400; non-read methods return 405.
Public fields and provenance
Each listing exposes only id, name, city, state, country, canonicalUrl, website, recordUpdatedAt, lastVerifiedAt and provenance. provenance identifies the HerbDeliveries directory and verification as unknown; it does not assert an upstream regulator verified the record. lastVerifiedAt is null because this feed has no independent verification date. recordUpdatedAt is only the database record modification time. Removed websites are suppressed, including re-imported copies.
Use and citation
Cite canonicalUrl and state when you retrieved the record. Confirm licensing and current hours with official authorities and the business. Do not infer availability, delivery territory, pricing, stock, safety or legal status. The feed deliberately excludes contact emails, internal notes, payment identifiers, account information and ordering actions. It is for permitted discovery integrations, not autonomous cannabis purchasing.
Sourcing and placement
Directory records may come from public business information, regulatory datasets and business submissions. Their completeness and freshness vary. Search supports location and other filters; featured placement can affect visibility. We do not claim exhaustive coverage, unpaid-only rankings, real-time stock or verified delivery to your address. Check the retailer and official licensing authority before relying on a listing.
Search crawlers and AI assistants
Public pages are accessible to search crawlers. Private routes remain protected by authentication; robots rules are not access control. Search crawling and model-training crawling are different uses. Our llms.txt is an optional navigation aid, not a guarantee of indexing, ranking or AI citations. No special AI schema or MCP integration is needed to cite a public page.
Questions and answers
Does unknown verification mean the business is unlicensed?
No. It means this feed cannot independently establish the business's current license or operations. Consult official licensing records.
Can a removed link still appear in the feed?
Active website-removal decisions are applied at the response boundary. A missing website does not delete the business profile.
Official sources and review limits
Reviewed 2026-10-05. Sources describe their own services and rules, not an independent audit of every listing. Fees, eligibility and service areas must be reconfirmed.
